A Thanksgiving Memory (Books for Better Living Guest Post)

Books for Better Living asked me to write another guest post for them and I was thrilled to oblige. The post was supposed to be on a “Thanksgiving Memory.” What I wrote was taken from one of the deleted scenes from January First. It is not quite a happy memory and it’s not quite a bad one, either. http://www.booksforbetterliving.com/2012/11/a-thanksgiving-memory-michael-schofield/

  1. What a memory!
What a memory Michael! Jani has come so far since that moment in time. I myself will be alone this thanksgiving but she will have her mommy and daddy and brother all together maybe even other family 🙂

I am so proud of Jani.

Say. I sent you a message on facebook today. Hope you get the time to find it and read it. I still can’t find the poem. help me look? 🙂

I have a surprise I’m back on medicines (Yes mother brought them all at least. I really should have more faith in her. ) and thinking about returning to therapy.

Still want to show me off to Winter Angel?

and what about my return to the group? I have to ask you because I lost my way of getting ahold of Noel.

Jani is so brave and so are you and your wife and Bohdi. I’m so proud of you all. it is an Honor to call you Sir a friend. (As in “Who are you messaging Cammy?” “My friend Michael he’s Jani’s daddy you know…” )

    hugs for all as always!

  2. Happy Thanksgiving!
    Michael,

This is a beautiful memory. I agree with you 100%. “Normal people don’t change the world.” It’s the “special” people who do that! Through you and Susan, Jani and Bodhi will change the world (for the better). I believe in you and have been following your blog for less than a week now. But I will continue to follow and read and comment, because Jani’s story has had such an impact on me. I want to wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving. You have so much to be thankful for. 🙂

  3. I’m 20 years old and I have bipolar type 2 and complex ptsd. I read your blog and think of Jani often, she is a huge inspiration to me! I love the line “normal people don’t change the world”, even if it had been influenced by denial at the time. Maybe I should get it screen-printed on a t-shirt. Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!
